Let's Hope I make it Out of Chicago

So I just found out last night our movers are NOT going to be here at noon on Saturday as they had promised but are now going to be here at around 2:00-3:00 because the place they are renting the truck from does not open until 9:00am. Please someone stop me from strangling someone on Saturday!!
Jason picked this company, a local guy from Iowa City. I love to support small comapanies, so I am all for it. Plus they were quite cheaper than the large companies, but they have been nothing but a pain since!! Problems with getting the right size truck, then the date adjustments, then they are picking us up on Saturday and delivering it on Sunday...due to the late pick up on Saturday already of noon!!! Now the place we are moving to is a furnished rental, so they are going to move all the furnishing to the basement storage for us with no additional charge, that I like..but I think my anxiety level is going through the roof!!!
Just hope I make it out of Chicago on Saturday!!

Time to Move

I just got back from our Family Reunion in Branson..amazing time!! 38 family members there: a post and pics to follow later!! But first..time to pack up the condo (well..most is already packed) and move to Iowa! As you see by the ticker above..it is coming! I am very happy to say we do have a renter coming into the condo on July 1!!!! We are sad to leave Chicago, the fun, the beach, the condo we love, the friends we made (what few there were!!) but we are VERY glad to move onto the next year and be closer to family and friends.
So once we get settled..posts on the reunion, the move and then our trip to KC for the 4th of July will be coming!!!

Last day of preschool

Hadley's last day of preschool we had a little party for her. It was sad, her little friends on Thursday that weren't going to be there on Friday were coming up to her saying, "I won't see you tomorrow, it's my last day to play with you."
On Friday we had a Going Away Party with cake, ice cream and Thank You gift for the school. We bought them a HUGE think of paper and crayons..those kids color non-stop and they are ALWAYS seeking paper!!! One of Hadley's close friends, Samantha brought her a little gift..so cute!! And her 'boyfriend', Kian even came to the party even though it wasn't his normal day of school, she is really going to miss him!! Her main teachers (and owners) Mrs Gotter and Miss Patty gave her a beautiful pink bracelet as a good bye...it was a sweet ending to three years at Children's Bright Beginnings! Here are a few pics..

What a Little Mood

Coming home Hadley was mad at us and she informed us of the following..

" I am going to walk to the park all by myself and then I am going to get on a plane alone to grandma and grandpa's and never going to talk to mommy and dadday again."

I asked her why she was going to do that

"I am mad at you both." (We was telling her to stop screaming and whining in the car, she had been doing it the whole car ride!)

Talk about attitude!!

No longer a Pre-schooler

It's official..my baby is no longer a baby. And my heart is sad. But very happy for my growing little girl! She had her pre-school graduation Friday night. We have loved the school she is at. She has been there since she was 2yrs old. It is a small place ran by a mother/daughter. The mother has been a surrogate grandmother to Hadley, Mrs. Gotter. And Hadley loves her very much!! At the end of every year, there is a huge party for all the kids to perform, the pre-schoolers to graduate, the parents to mingle. It ends with a big pot luck dinner and entertainment for the kids. This year it was an amazing animal show..there was an alligator, snake, ferrets, and monkey..and the kids got to pet them all!! It was a great night to see everyone and of course the main question.."When are you leaving?" Hadley has been with the same kids just as long! We are planning a big good-bye party this Friday (her last day) so lots of pics of that later!
