Happy Anniversary to My Love

Today me and Jason celebrate 7 years of marriage! I cannot believe it has already been 7 years, and in a good way! We have been through undergraduate, grad school, med school, residency and a baby!! We have moved to another state where we have learned to lean on eachother for everything and have seen how important your love is to make it through tough times. For all the amazing 7 years we have shared (and the 3yrs before then)I want to say Thanks for being my husband!
And most importantly thanks for giving me my Hadley. She is the most amazing thing that has come from our marriage. Seeing you be the amazing (albeit childish) father you are makes me fall in love with you all over again. I cannot wait to expand our family in the future to watch you be a father all over again.
No matter what comes our way in life I know I have my strength in you. Words truely cannot explain the vast amount of love I have for you!

Happy Anniversay Jason!!

Christmas Time

We had an amazing time home in Kansas for Christmas. Lots of family and friends which meant a VERY busy schedule! We stopped and had breakfast with Carolyn and her family in Iowa on the way down..a great way to break up the long drive! Once in KS I got to see my best friend Joan, who I miss dearly! And one night together is never enough time! But unfortunatly didn't get to touch base with Nickie and Jenny due to the flu...but really, three families all down with the flu wouldn't be a good idea! But next time..we will make it happen! We were able to see both families now that Jason's parents are back in KS so that kept us going nonstop!
Hadley of course walked away with a car packed full of gifts!! (mostly due to Mommy and Daddy..I will one day learn to NOT buy her everything at the store!!)
It was a very Merry Christmas! We were very sad to leave our family and look forward to being closer to them soon!! Miss and Love you all lots!!

Fashionista

Hadley picked out her own outfit today..bright pink tights, dark pink dress, and pink/red/white poncho. It made me smile at how crazy the outfit was! But at least she stayed in the same color scheme!!

Winter Wonderfest

Every year we go to the Navy Pier Winter Wonderfest, it is one of my favorite things to do in the winter and something I will miss very much! The entire festival hall is turned into..A Winter Wonderfest! It has inflatable slides, obstacles, rides, food, and ice skating! Since Hadley is now into ice skating I was thrilled to do this! We were there for 4 hours of fun!

Hadley's Play Mate

Dee Dee has quickly became Hadley's playmate! She lets Hadley treat her like a doll..covers her up, dresses her up and cuddles nonstop with her! This is often how I find Dee Dee!

Christmas and Family Pics

We got some amazing pics done today at Portriat Innovations. We always took Hadley there when we were in KS and even though it is a bit of a drive, we have always taken her to one here too!

Here are some of the best pics...

A Morning Surprise

Yesterday I was in the bathroom brushing my teeth and Hadley comes in with something behind her back and says:

H: I have a surprise..
M: What?
H: (pulls around an opened christmas gift..yes I said opened..she had unwrapped one)
M: Hadley Sarah Day, did you just open up a christmas gift? Seriously?
H: yes (crying as she can see I was upset)
M: Seroiously? (I was in shock)

So I took the gift and proceeded to the living room hoping not to find all the other gifts unwrapped..nope..only this one.

M: Hadley, if you open up another gift before Christmas I will take them ALL back..
H: I won't Mom..I won't open another one. (still crying)

So I let us both calm down a bit and then we sat and talked about how we don't open gifts until christmas and all... then Hadley looks up at me and says:
"I liked the gift."

Later she asked me, "Mommy, can you rewrap the gift and this time I will open it up on Christmas?"
