Back from Disney

We are sadly back from Disney World..I have started to add some blogs, pics, and videos on the Disney Vacation Blog..so check it out!!! I will post more as the week goes on..

Out of the mouths of babes

Hadley has been talking a lot lately about her friends in Pre-school that have now gone to Kindergarten. One day she came home and we had a very enlightening conversation:

Hadley: Lexi isn't at school anymore she went to Kindergarten. I'll go to Kindergarten in one week.

Me: No, Hadley you'll go to Kindergarten in One Year. And Mommy will be so sad.

Hadley: Don't worry Mommy, I'll come back home.

Boy will things change!

At Ballet yesterday I had a chance to catch up with all the moms I chat with while our kids are in class..stories of what have you done this summer, what classes are all the kids in this fall, what pre-schools..etc. One thing I realized is how plans will change once Hadley is in school. Most of the kids in Hadley's class have older brothers and sisters..so when it came to what vacations did everyone take this summer..well, everyone piled their trips into the last 2-3 months..us..well..we have waited until fall. We have the OH SO anticipated Disney Trip in 8DAYS and a trip planned to see Jason's parents in North Carolina in November. Now we can do this as Hadley is in preschool and missing a few days or a week isn't too big a deal. But I realized this weekend (which my mom has been saying to me) once Hadley is in school next year (YIKES..next year!) all our Fall/Spring vacations will come to a halt and we will schedule all around the school year!!

Gymnastics

We started Gymnastics on Sunday. Wow..did Hadley have a blast!! She went non-stop for an hour and came out grinning from ear to ear and very sweaty! It was great because the gym is surrounded by glass so we were able to watch the entire time. It is an amazing gym...



Hadley did front head rolls, an obstacle course, trampoline, balance beam, and hanging on the bottom of the uneven bars and falling into a pit of foam!!
I think we found something she really likes!! I can't wait to see her do more!!

A Day with Daddy!

One of the things I love about my husband is how he can become an instant playmate for Hadley..now there are of course times when I think the parent should be there more than the playmate..but none the less I love that he can let himself go and be a big kid! So here is what a play date with daddy looks like:


Mismatched outfit: what you can't see is her black patent leather christmas dress shoes with white gym socks (now I will admit since she is starting to take an intereast in getting herself dressed in the mornings, I too let her wear mismatched at times)


Goofing off..Daddy generally likes to be a goof with her!
